Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 13 October 2026
1. Scope and seller
These terms apply to www.mossaic.ro, enquiries, project quotation requests and purchases through the Mossaic online shop, including a shop powered by Shopify. The contracting seller is [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], whose contact and registration details appear on our Legal Notice page. Shopify provides commerce technology; it does not replace the identity of the seller shown in the order.
Visitors must use the website lawfully and must not interfere with its operation, security or others' intellectual property. No provision of these terms restricts mandatory consumer rights.
2. Products and natural materials
We display and may sell preserved/stabilised moss artworks, framed pieces, decorative materials, panels and bespoke installations. Preserved moss is a treated decorative material; it is not living moss that continues to grow. Natural differences in shade, density, relief and texture may occur. Such differences do not allow us to supply goods materially inconsistent with the contractual description or agreed specifications.
Product listings will describe the main characteristics, dimensions, materials, options, care requirements and applicable safety information. Images illustrate products subject to reasonable natural variation; agreed essential specifications cannot be unilaterally altered after order acceptance.
3. Prices, taxes and estimates
The total price payable by consumers, all applicable taxes, shipping charges and any other mandatory fees will be made clear before the order is placed. Currency and VAT treatment will be displayed accurately. Obvious errors may be corrected before we accept an order after notifying the customer, without an unauthorised charge.
Any moss installation quotation calculator supplies a non-binding estimate, not a final contractual price. A project becomes binding only when its specifications, price and schedule are agreed and accepted on a durable medium, such as e-mail. Stock remains subject to confirmation.
4. Ordering and payment
Before checkout, customers can review and correct products, quantities, addresses and costs. The final order control must clearly indicate an obligation to pay. A receipt acknowledgement follows submission; a contract is formed when Mossaic confirms acceptance of the order on a durable medium, subject to applicable law. Acknowledgement of receipt is not necessarily acceptance where clearly indicated.
Available payment methods and charges appear at checkout. Payment services are operated by the providers identified there; Mossaic should not store full payment card numbers.
5. Shipping, installation and risk
Delivery destinations, fees, timeframes and restrictions are set out in our Shipping Policy and at checkout. Unless agreed otherwise, goods will be supplied without undue delay and generally no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded, as required by applicable law. Risk of accidental damage or loss generally passes to consumers on physical possession by them or their nominated recipient, in accordance with the law.
Site preparation, mounting, access requirements and on-site installation are included only where expressly agreed in the accepted quote.
6. Custom commissions
A bespoke quote may specify design, dimensions, materials, deposit, approval stages, delivery and installation dates, and variation procedures. Changes must be agreed before additional fees are charged. The statutory exemption from no-fault withdrawal may apply to goods made to a consumer's specifications or clearly personalised; it does not automatically apply to all handmade goods. See Returns and Withdrawal Policy and Custom Projects and Warranties.
7. Returns and product conformity
Consumers buying most standard goods at a distance generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Narrow statutory exceptions may apply. The procedure and model form are in the Returns and Withdrawal Policy. Separately, Romanian consumer law including OUG 140/2021 provides remedies for non-conforming goods, generally concerning lack of conformity found within two years of delivery.
Any additional commercial guarantee (including a five-year installation guarantee if offered) is governed by its communicated guarantee statement and does not replace or reduce statutory rights.
8. Product safety and care
Preserved moss products are decorative items, not food or toys. Follow the relevant product's instructions concerning moisture, water, heat, sunlight, fixing systems and use. Installations and large panels must be installed and maintained in accordance with their accompanying instructions.
9. Intellectual property
Website text, photography, design, branding and other content belong to their respective rights holders and must not be reused commercially without permission or another lawful basis. Customers retain rights in materials supplied for quotes or commissions; they authorise only the use reasonably necessary to evaluate and, if agreed, fulfil the work. Use of identifiable customer projects in a public portfolio is subject to applicable law and consent or other necessary permissions.
10. Privacy and marketing
Please see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Sending a contact or quote request does not automatically subscribe the sender to promotional messages. Marketing communications require an appropriate legal basis and an easy unsubscribe route.
11. Complaints and disputes
For complaints, write to contact@mossaic.ro. We aim to resolve issues amicably. Consumers may contact ANPC and, where appropriate, the Romanian ADR/SAL procedure. Romanian law applies without removing any mandatory consumer protection applicable in the consumer's country of residence. Nothing excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.
12. Changes
We may update these terms prospectively. Existing contracts remain subject to the terms communicated when they were concluded unless changes are validly agreed or mandated by law.
